I am overjoyed to share this beautiful Franklin Park Conservatory wedding. It has been a dream of mine to photograph a wedding here, and I was thrilled to find out that Katie and Ben chose it as their venue. I am a little biased since I had my wedding here, but Franklin Park Conservatory is one of the best wedding venues in Columbus, Ohio.
Franklin Park Conservatory offers multiple locations to host your wedding, one of which is the gorgeous Palm House. The Palm House is glass-enclosed and features tropical plants, two grand staircases, a beautiful fountain, and two iron gazebos, creating the perfect setting for your ceremony and cake display. Your guests will feel like they have entered a romantic, tropical paradise. The beauty of the conservatory will leave your guests talking about their experience there for years to come. I was married here in 2011 and still have family and friends that rave about how beautiful everything was.
One of the best parts about hosting your wedding at the Franklin Park Conservatory is that they offer multiple packages to fit everyone’s price range. My husband and I knew this was the venue of our dreams, but we knew a full wedding day here did not fit our budget. We opted to rent the space for the morning and early afternoon so that we could have our ceremony and all of our portraits here, then we moved to a second location for our reception. This allowed us to have the ceremony of our dreams while sticking to our budget. When I met with Katie and Ben for the engagement session I had shared my experience with them, little did I know, it would lead to them selecting this venue.
For Katie and Ben, choosing the Franklin Park Conservatory as their venue was a heartfelt nod to their love story’s roots. It was here that they shared their first date, marked the next chapter with a proposal, and captured their engagement photos amidst the lush, timeless beauty of the gardens. By returning to the place where it all began, they wove their history into their wedding day, creating a celebration filled with deep meaning and personal connection. Their brunch wedding felt like stepping into a real-life fairytale, with charming teapots brimming with fresh blooms perched atop hardcover books adorned with elegant floral designs. Every detail reflected the magic of their love story, bringing a sense of whimsy and romance to a day already filled with so much heart.

Wedding at The Dempsey Event Center
I am sharing Katiann and Zach’s wedding at the Dempsey Event Center today. This wedding venue in Delaware, Ohio is perfect for couples looking for a timeless, classic wedding with a touch of historic charm. From the elegant getting-ready suite to the ceremony on the estate grounds, the white-tented reception, and the classic getaway car, every detail of this wedding exuded timeless charm.
Katiann and Zach live in Chicago, but their family is in central Ohio, so they decided to return for their special day. Being with their guests was one of the things they were most looking forward to on their wedding day as most traveled here from all over the country. To be able to maximize their time with guests we planned a first look. This allowed them to spend most of the cocktail hour mingling with their guests. Being able to join cocktail hour can allow you to greet guests during this time rather than having to spend time during dinner going to each table. I always think this is a great option as it allows you time to eat and get your party started earlier!
If you are considering having your wedding at this venue in Delaware, Ohio I would be honored to photograph it. Be sure to reach out through my contact page to see if I have your date available! In the meantime, I hope you can take some inspiration from Katiann and Zach’s wedding day!

I am so excited to share Megan & Jonathan’s wedding at 1883 Locale. Megan and Jonathan are such a sweet couple. They met in 2017 while in college at Miami University. When Jonathan was ready to ask Megan to marry him he took her back to the campus where they met and asked her while walking the grounds.
Megan is an archeologist and incorporated her love of artifacts into the wedding décor with antique pieces throughout the tables. The muted teal, coral, and peach color palette was inspired by the colors of the antique pieces. Megan and Jonathan chose to have their wedding at 1883 Local because they loved the history of the building and the industrial aesthetic it provides.
We chose to have the first look inside the venue. The morning was rainy and I wanted to make sure Megan stayed dry before the portraits. One thing I have learned over the years is that everyone’s first look looks differently. Megan and Jonathan’s was one of the most romantic first looks I have seen. You could just see the love pouring out of them. It can be hard to forget the camera is there and be truly in the moment but when Jonathan turned around it was like they were the only two in the whole room. I love when couples can fully immerse themself in this moment, it gives me such a great chance to get a lot of candid loving moments between the bride and groom. Once I get what I need I back away and give them a moment to truly be alone in the moment.
With most weddings we are used to hearing speeches from the wedding party. Megan and Jonathan opted to have family members provide a speech. Megan’s mom gave one that left everyone, including me in tears and one of Jonathan’s grandma’s provided a speech that had everyone laughing, while also providing some great advice for the newlyweds.
One thing I love about this venue is that it is such a blank slate. You can do anything with this space to make it unique to you. The gold chairs and the different style tables they provide add a touch of elegance to any design. If you are having your wedding at 1883 Locale I hope you are able to find some inspiration from Megan and Jonathan’s beautiful fall wedding day. Be sure to use my contact form to reach out to me about photographing your day!

Elizabeth and Ryan had their wedding at The Estate at New Albany. This wedding venue is just outside of Columbus and is so beautiful and is the perfect spot to have a Winter wedding as it offers both an indoor and outdoor ceremony location.
Additionally, they have a beautiful indoor space for cocktail hour which can also double as a great location for portraits if you end up with a stormy day like we did. Despite the rain, Elizabeth and Ryan were completely stress-free and focused on enjoying the day with their family and friends.
When they first inquired with me one of the questions I asked was, “What are you most excited for”. They answered that they were most excited to spend time with their family and friends and to give them a good time. Knowing that this was very important to them I helped them to create a timeline that would allow them to spend a lot of time with their guests. We achieved this by getting all the family portraits captured before the ceremony started. Doing so allowed them to spend time connecting with their immediate family before the ceremony but it also allowed them to enjoy their full cocktail hour with all of their guests! I’ve been structuring timelines like this more often this year and have found the day to flow more smoothly.
My goal on a wedding day is to capture the couple with the entire family. Most importantly, I make time to capture moments with your parents. Sadly, Ryan’s Dad passed away just a few weeks after the wedding. So when I heard the news, I immediately went through their gallery and gathered all the photos I had of his dad. I sent them over, hoping that the photos would be a source of comfort and joy for Ryan and his family. I knew that these images would be cherished forever.
If you are planning a wedding, remember to take in every moment. Make time in your timeline to spend with your guests and cherish the memories you are creating with them.

If you are looking for venues around Dayton, I recommend having your wedding at Cedar Springs Pavilion. This wedding venue is a hidden gem in Springfield Ohio. This Tuscan-styled venue rests on a 17-acre nature preserve. With an abundance of wildflowers, beautiful architecture, and the butterfly house you will have endless options for portraits around the property.
I had the pleasure of being the second photographer at Josie and Griffin’s August wedding. The ceremony took place at the gazebo. The lake behind them made for the most beautiful backdrop. The bridesmaids were dressed in a light blue that complimented everyone and Griffin and his men were in formal military attire. Josie’s Father performed the ceremony. I love to see when a couple has a family member officiate, doing so brings a special touch to the ceremony. Griffin and Josie walked through the Arch of Sabors and shared another kiss. As they continued walking Griffin was playfully swatted with the swords as he walked through. This was probably my favorite part of the whole day as it was just so different from what I normally get to see!
Cedar Spring Pavilion has a gorgeous reception space. The open-air concept is perfect to allow your reception to stay cool while also keeping you and your guest sheltered. Your guests can easily transition between the outdoor space and get quickly back to the dance floor. The open concept also allows you and your guests to enjoy the most gorgeous sunsets. The sunset makes the most spectacular backdrop and I highly recommend trying to time your first dance around it. You will not regret it. Be sure to scroll to Josie’s dance with her dad when looking through the pictures so you can see for yourself.
If you plan to have your wedding at Cedar Springs Pavilion be sure to contact me for your photography. This is one venue that I am eager to get back to!

I am excited to share this colorful wedding that took place in Southern Ohio last Summer. I had the pleasure of second shooting for Jacquelin Deann Photography. Everything about Sam & Grace’s wedding was so beautiful. All the flowers were bright and full of color. The bride’s mom was a florist and she is a very talented one at that. I absolutely LOVED the floral arrangements from this wedding.
Grace got ready at her parent’s home. They have a large beautiful property which allowed for the perfect first look and bridal party shots. After capturing all their portraits we headed over to their church where they had both their ceremony and reception.
The location is about 2 hours away from my hometown, so I was not expecting to know anyone. After the ceremony ended I saw a very familiar face. Turns out Grace, the bride, is the cousin of my best friend’s, brother’s wife (that’s a mouthful). Talk about a small world!
I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from the day!

Romantic Boho Inspired Wedding
Last Spring I attended a styled shoot at The Silo in Plain City, Ohio. The Silo is a great venue if you are looking for something more intimate to host your wedding. The theme for the shoot was a romantic boho wedding style. You usually think of soft muted tones when you think of a bohemian-styled wedding but I love the way the bright colors were incorporated into this shoot.
The talented vendors that put this shoot together really outdid themselves. Over the last 2 years and a lot of couples are looking to scale down on the number of guests. Even though the size of the guest list is smaller it does not mean you need to scale down on the details of your wedding. These local vendors really showed that intimate weddings can be just as beautiful as large-scale weddings. I hope you enjoy looking through some of my favorites from the day.

This wedding was a HOT one with the high temperature in the 90’s! Though when you look through their images you would never be able to tell. They took the heat like champs and didn’t let it stop them from having the best day. I think the heat would have stressed most brides out, but Sage was one of the most relaxed, chill brides I have ever seen on a wedding day.
When I was working on their timeline Sage asked if we could work time in the day to prank Todd. The prank was a “first look” with his dad, the catch was that his dad would be in a wedding dress. Of course I said yes! Todd was so adamant about not doing a first look with Sage that we had to trick him into even coming to the location. One of the bridesmaids told him that Sage was freaking out and needed to speak to him. When he got there he wouldn’t turn around, we had him go back to back with his dad. Once Todd was in the position his dad came around in front of him and placed his hand on him. As soon as he felt his dad’s hand he immediately knew it was not Sage. He opened his eyes and a lot of laughs followed.
It was such a joy seeing these two come together. Sage was absolutely stunning and had one of my favorite dresses to date. I hope you enjoy scrolling through some of my favorite images from their day!

Jessica & Ryan reached out to me at the beginning of the year to ask me to capture their farmhouse wedding. They were so excited to become husband & wife and celebrate with their friends, family and their little boy, Michael.
During the planning process Covid began and they made the tough decision to post-pone their June wedding. Thankfully, they did not need to post-pone too long and were able to hold a small ceremony the following month at French Hen Farm in Marysville, Ohio.
French Hen Farm is a beautiful venue located just outside of Columbus. This venue has everything! A picturesque Willow tree that is the perfect ceremony and portrait back drop, rustic details throughout the property, a gorgeous bridal suite and multiple chandeliers!
Jessica & Ryan’s wedding day was so beautiful and simple. I hope you enjoy reliving their wedding day! Keep a look out for a special surprise they had for their guests as you scroll through the images!
Jessica & Ryan, you are such a sweet couple and I am so happy for you both to start this next chapter together.
Back at the beginning of May I attended my first photography workshop ran by Caroline Logan in Lancaster, PA. While there we had the pleasure of photographing the most beautiful styled shoot you could imagine. Seriously it was what wedding dreams are made of!! All vendors that worked on this did not hold back, they are all seriously so talented and it was such a dream getting to be a part of this shoot. I think we all thought it was like walking into photography heaven!!
I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am to everyone that took part in this day! If you get a chance please check out all the vendors! Also, I can’t forget to take a moment to thank the gorgeous couple that model for us all day while we all gushed over them while capturing these beautiful images.
